The Accokeek Ravens, with their Youth Tackle Football and Cheer Program, strives to be a strong, positive influence on the young people in our communities. Their goal is to instill and enforce the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, commitment, courage and academic excellence so that they may become well rounded.
The Ravens are a member of the Greater Metropolitan Youth Football League (GMYFL). Practices are held at the Accokeek Academy Lower Campus, while home games are played at the Accokeek West Neighboorhood Park. The Football players will play within the traditional age groups (6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U) with no weight limitations, while the Cheer Program is open to girls between the ages of 5-14.
To help their athletes achieve and maintain a required 2.5 minumum grade point average, the Accokeek Ravens have organized a group of volunteers, professional teachers and tutors to assist youths through their Mentoring and Tutoring Programs.
